Alison Matthews
MA Applied Coaching
I’ve over 20 years experience of working in television and film, latterly as a Line Producer. I’ve worked on a variety of shows including ‘In the Long Run’, ‘Hetty Feather’, ‘The Dumping Ground’, ‘Judge John Deed’, ‘ Emmerdale’ and ‘The Bill’. And some UK feature films (most of which you will never have heard of) and which include “Devil’s Playground” and “Dreaming of Joseph Lees”.
There was a point when I felt that filming outside at 4am in the winter was no longer for me and perhaps the time had come to draw on things I’d been learning in the gaps between contracts – NLP and coaching. I continued my training in NLP (to trainer level), Coaching (Professional Coaching Certificate) and then along came Mbit – Multiple Brain Integration Techniques. TFor me, this was the missing link. I trained as both a coach and trainer in this discipline and it literally changed my world. Firstly I took an MA in Applied Coaching which I had been talking about fo years, but, most surprisingly, I realised I missed TV and I was at my most authentic in that field. Within 2 weeks of that realisation, I was back with a job on a childrens’ drama.
I believe my work experience in the industry enhances my training and coaching with actors and creative professionals to know what is happening at the core of their industry and I draw on my creative and managerial background in TV and film to enhance all of my training and coaching, which is always interactive and motivational. I often use actors for role play and forum theatre in training to enrich the learning experience and offer delegates the opportunity to try out real life situations in a safe environment.
My coaching clients include leaders and managers, entrepreneurs, small and medium business owners as well people from the TV and film world and people who simply feel stuck and want to get back on track. I have an engaging and empathetic style, and we don’t always sit in an office – if it works for a client we may go out for a walk, or work with a metaphor to help uncover the solution to a problem.

Michael Eaves
I started my career as a lab technician in education, quickly realizing that I was a natural performer and that acting was definitely the career I dreamed of. I was running 3 laboratories by day, and performing with local amateur dramatic companies and in the school play by night.
I left my technician career behind me and studied drama at Manchester University, taking the sensible option of getting a degree as well as honing my skills as an actor.
I then performed at various theatres including Bristol Old Vic, Southampton and Watford Palace and then came to London where my first role was as a mouse in a childrens’ production for the Polka Children’s Theatre. Since then I have appeared on television, in films and commercials. I am probably best known as Brian Harrison in “Judge John Deed”, though am also often recognized from the two episodes of “Chucklevision” I appeared in!
Alongside my television, film and theatre career, I have been able to transfer my skills to work as an actor in business and have extensive experience in role play and forum theatre. I also regularly work as a Trainer and Coach and bring a creative approach to both areas to enhance the delegate and client experience.
As well as the development and delivery of training and coaching at Sensability and through Michael Eaves Associates, I look after Sensability’s “Actors in Business”.
